Born in 1984 in Badakhshan, Sayed Ihsan Taheri is a Human Rights Activist and blogger who was World Vision International Peacemaker Prize nominee in 2012. He is UPF Europe Ambassador for Peace to Afghanistan. Sayed is the founding member of a prominent HRD – Afghanistan 3rd Trend. He holds BBA degree from American University of Afghanistan. He is a former Afghan government official who held various managerial positions since 2002. He worked as Acting Deputy Minister of Finance for Administration, Communications Director to the Afghan President, DG StratComm & Spokesperson to the Afghan Peace Process, DG for Private Sector Development and Head of Secretariat for PriSEC – Executive Committee. He also worked in the positions of Assistant Vice President of Afghanistan, DG Govt Monitoring and Evaluation Authority, Sr. Advisor to Commerce Minister and President of Afghanistan National Swimming Federation.
